Part of our Vintage & Found Collection. Exotic Bird Fresco Secco Painting by artist Melissa White. Beautiful Chinoiserie style original painting on a square fresco secco panel. Hand-layered plaster on hessian, painted with washes of chalk paint, distressed by hand and finished with clear matt wax. A deliberately uneven textured surface, distressed back to reveal the layers beneath. The surface has the chalky quality of a wall that has been painted, repainted, and worn back over centuries.
